Dr. Indrani Sardesai is an emergency medicine specialty doctor working in an NHS hospital in England. She embarked on her non-traditional emergency medicine journey from Mumbai, and was successfully selected to work in the UK through a Health Education England initiative. She has since completed her FRCEM by examinations.
She is faculty on the advanced life support (ALS) and advanced trauma life support (ATLS) courses, and co-director of the local acute illness management (AIM) course. She also features amongst the faculty for EM Gurukul. With her keen interest in art in medical education, you will frequently find her partaking in FOAMEd (free open access medical education) through her social media platforms and sharing her artwork through various educational engagements.

Architect Pratima Joshi founded the NGO Shelter Associates (SA) after completing Masters-in-Architecture from London-based Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning. SA designs interventions in Sanitation and Social Housing for urban slum dwellers and has impacted more than 5 lakh individuals since 1994.
SA’s core sanitation project, the ‘One Home One Toilet’ has facilitated home toilets to 1.5 lakh individuals by following a data-driven model involving communities and Urban Local Bodies. It also creates awareness around solid waste segregation and eco-friendly menstrual hygiene.
Through a multi-stakeholder process, she provides well-designed homes to poor urban families. Pratima has pioneered the use of spatial data for slum development and has innovated to give unique digital locational addresses to slum households improving their access to basic services.
An Ashoka fellow, Google Earth Hero, she is recognized as an eminent social architect by BBC and as one of the most powerful women by Forbes India.

He spearheaded, WHO initiatives on Injury prevention, Emergency and Trauma management ; Road Safety, and Drowning across 11 countries of the SE Asia Region.
Dr. Nayar was immensely successful in bringing multiple stakeholders together across 11 nations to promote the concept of *“Integrated Emergency and Trauma services”* which supported the implementation of Integrated Emergency services in many of the countries of the SEA region, and States of India – Kerala, UP, Arunachal, Goa, and Rajasthan.
Due to his efforts WHO SEARO along with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India was able to provide increased focus on Drowning Prevention; Injuries in general including injuries of the aged; burns; and strengthening the relevant registries.

Dr. Ankit Kumar Sahu is an enthusiastic clinician and a passionate young researcher in emergency medicine.
Trained at India’s premier healthcare institute AIIMS New Delhi, he has been working to develop emergency medicine research in the country. He has a keen research aptitude and has published over 45 articles in peer-reviewed journals during his residency. He has also been involved in teaching programs at the department and community levels. His research interests include systematic review and meta-analysis in resuscitation science and community-based CPR initiative.
He has written two grants during his residency, which have been lauded with financial support from ICMR; he is leading the ICMR-AIIMS school CPR project intending to train 15000 school students. He plans to acquire skills and learn the science of artificial intelligence for its implementation in Emergency medicine.
